Lottery and Registration

All OCPS magnet applications are coordinated through the OCPS School Choice Office. For detailed information about the magnet application process please visit https://schoolchoice.ocps.net.

The initial magnet application window is November 1st through February 17th. A computerized lottery will occur near the end of February. The OCPS School Choice Office will notify applicants of their status. Once the applicants have been notified the school registrar will send a welcome email with details on how to complete registration packet.  The seat offer from the OCPS School Choice office does not secure your seat. All registration documents and forms must be submitted to the school registrar within the registration deadline to secure your seat.

An additional lottery will be held at the beginning of April for any remaining spaces from the eligible applications received during the November 1st through February 17th application period.

Eligible students who are not offered a seat in the first or second lottery will be emailed their waitlist number by the School Choice Office. If magnet program seats become available during the summer, applicants will be notified and invited to complete the registration process at Hillcrest Foreign Language Academy.

Transportation is not provided to Hillcrest Foreign Language Academy.
